Standard 3 year Return to Base Warranty.

Definitions.

  1. Buyer: means the person or organisation that agrees to buy the goods and to whom the goods are invoiced.
  2. Seller: means SpeedDev Ltd.
  3. RTB: means Return To Base.
  4. CAR: means Collect And Return.

The provision of the service under this warranty will be on the base unit only and does not include monitors or other peripherals, which are covered by separate manufacturers warranty agreements. In the event of hardware failure, the company will, when necessary, collect and repair the computer hardware, by replacing the unserviceable parts.

Period of Warranty.

The warranty shall be for a period of 3 years from the date of purchase of the computer system.

In the event of hardware failure during the first 12 months, the company will arrange collection and return at the buyers expense unless the buyer has purchased the CAR option. The cost of carriage will be at the sellers expense if a fault requiring a return is notified within the first 14 days after the purchase date. In years 2 and 3 the cost of collection and return will be chargeable to the customer.

Charges.

Any repairs, parts supplied or other work carried out which are found to be outside the terms of this warranty will be charged to the purchaser, and will be payable at the point of service.

Care of Equipment.

The purchaser must ensure the environmental and power supply conditions are suitable for the equipment, and that the equipment is cared for and maintained in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and instructions.

General Conditions.

The purchaser will ensure that no adjustments, alterations, interference or repairs are carried out to the equipment other than by an authorised representative of the company; failure to comply with these conditions will invalidate the warranty. It is the purchasers responsibility to ensure that adequate back-ups of all applications, operating systems and data are maintained.

Exclusions to the Warranty.

  1. Software and Operating Systems.
  2. Breakdowns or failures arising from any external influences such as misuse, neglect, excessive wear to the equipment and other external influences such as, but not limited to, poor environmental conditions, electrical power surges, power failure, the use of incompatible or uncertified accessories or media and the effect of computer viruses.
  3. The replacement of any parts classed as consumables, such as floppy disks, tapes, magnetic media of any type and batteries.
  4. Any consequential loss or liability of any kind to the purchaser caused by any decisions or actions made during or after the period when the services were delivered.
  5. IMPORTANT The use of illegal software will render this warranty void. Please be aware that we can check, even if the software has been uninstalled. There will be no exceptions to this.
